iPad 2 Keynote Available for Viewing

In case you didn’t attend the iPad 2 announcement yesterday, Apple has made the video of the event available for viewing. So if you have an hour and 13 minutes you can watch Steve Jobs, Scottu Forstall, and the rest of the team run through yesterday’s event. It’ll be a lot quicker to run through our post or even a live blog, but if you want every detail and every bit of nuance without any editorializing or interpretation, then the video feed is the way to go. Keep in mind that while photographs were allowed at the event yesterday video was not, so this is your chance to see the live action as well as the videos that were played during the presentation.

WiTricity is attracting a lot of attention from the industry and media.

Industrial designer Alexander Mukomelov has conceptualized a handset named Magic Stone. The users of this handset can recharge it using solar power during daytime. Another striking feature of this concept is that when the sun isn’t available, the user will be able to continuously recharge it using ambient electromagnetic waves.

 3. Powering small electronic gadgets with ambient electromagnetic energy.
It is an entirely new technology as no one has been successful at this before. A new technology draws electromagnetic energy from surrounding sources like radio transmitters and mobile phone networks in order to charge new devices. It uses an antenna to capture the electromagnetic signals from other sources, and later convert it from Direct current to Alternating current to store in batteries and capacitors. The device is capable of exploiting another sources of energy when one frequency weakens. It will soon be available for consumers and could be used at places like Airports
4. Nokia’s RF charging technology:
The company Nokia Research Cente is working on a prototype device that never needs power from a wall socket. The device sources all the power it needs from ambient radio waves. The cellphone will be able to convert electromagnetic radiations emitted from Wi-Fi transmitters, cellphone antennas, TV masts and other sources into usable electricity, which can recharge the phone’s onboard battery.

A perfect camera experience

The Xperience Camera Concept  allows users to safely click photographs in extreme situations without any risk. The concept features two camera pods that can be mounted on the helmet or any part of the sports equipment and set to take photographs automatically. A watch-like strap-on device allows users to view the images taken without worrying about additional displays. Interchangeable pods can be attached anywhere with a clip or strap and set to still or video function.

 A built-in GPS and an altimeter that provides exact location and time markups on each image. This feature  allows users to be tracked down in case they go missing or are in an emergency. The watch may use to preview images or take individual images with the help of an oval button on the watch’s interface. The cameras can be programmed to take multiple shots per minute and since each camera pod comes with built-in memory, images can be beamed to users’ PCs via long distance Bluetooth connection.

Lamborghini offers some of the most exotic sports cars in the world, and with the latest Gallardo LP 560-4 coupe, that is no exception. This new entry level Lamborghini coupe delivers 560 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 398 ft-lbs of torque at 6,500 rpm via a 5.2-liter V10 engine, making sure to deliver on the so-called Lamborghini experience in full.

This performance coupe is capable of hitting 62 mph in an impressive 3.7 seconds. The sprint to twice that velocity – 124 mph – takes just 11.8 seconds.
The 560 portion of the car's name reflects its horsepower, while the "4" designation indicates all-wheel-drive.
The latest engine not only gained power and displacement, it also features a new "Iniezione Diretta Stratificata" direct injection system. Despite its clearly increased output, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced by a staggering 18 percent. With the improved fuel efficiency the LP 560-4 is capable of 12/20 city/highway mpg.
The enlarged and clearly redesigned cooling intakes meet the demands of augmented engine. The front spoiler, positioned low between the air intakes, improves aerodynamic equilibrium at high speeds.
The redesigned four-wheel-drive system, an improved suspension design, and optimized aerodynamics all contribute an improved driving experience. A weight reduction of 44 lbs and decreased friction between the components also enhance performance.

The Gallardo LP 560-4 fulfills the not yet obligatory European pedestrian safety regulations, without compromising the look of the car.
The automated e-gear transmission has been completely redesigned for the LP 560-4. Gear change time reduced by 40 percent, and the driver may choose between five different driving and changing programs. The most performance-oriented "CORSA" setting not only affects shift speed -- it also directs the engine for maximum acceleration. The 'Thrust Mode' ensures maximum acceleration from neutral while the angle of the throttle valve and the clutch are optimized.
An optional carbon-ceramic-disc braking system makes use of eight-piston Brembo calipers up front, and four-piston calipers at he rear. Rotor size is 14.4 inches at the front and 14 inches at the rear.
Bi-Xenon headlights provide plenty of illumination at night, while LED daytime running lights give the car a more aggressive and high-tech look.

The Lifebook Leaf was designed by Laura Karnath and Carl Burdick . The entire outer skin of this laptop is covered in solar panels, which help keep it powered. The controls are all touch-sensitive and are made out of rubber so as to be durable. Lifebook Leaf is a concept laptop that incorporates the latest environment-friendly developments in technology to revamp the production of laptops in the future. The laptop runs on solar power. It consists of one OLED touchscreen that can be spread out as a flat display or folded like a laptop. OLED displays function without a backlight giving them the freedom to be thinner and lighter than liquid crystal displays. To prevent scratches on the touchscreens folded on the inside, the interior is made from rubber. The exterior of the laptop is made from polycarbonate, a material known to be optically sensitive and shatterproof. The exterior doubles up a solar cell that can be charged when the device is folded open and placed upside down. This serves the purpose of charging the laptop with natural light in the outdoors. To communicate with other devices, the laptop integrates a 4G module. A small OLED panel located at the back of the device alerts users of messages or alerts received during charging. A waterproof zipper prevents damage caused by contact with water.

 The designers planned for three cameras to be built into the top of the device so that 3D photography and depth sensing is possible. That way, the laptop can be controlled with gestures as well as with the touchscreen. The designers hope that with more efficient solar panels, the device will be able to generate enough excess power to charge other devices by USB. While this futuristic laptop is ages away from becoming feasible as an item for consumer use, it definitely shows the environmentally-conscious way for production process of laptops in the future.
